About Fernando Arteaga

An architect with substantial experience, Fernando Arteaga serves Miami-based international architecture firm HKS as principal and director of design. As such, Fernando Arteaga develops the master plan, architecture, and interior design for five-star and luxury resorts across Europe, the East Coast of the United States, and Latin America.

As an experienced and award-winning designer, Mr. Arteaga has held roles with design firms around the world. He served as associate vice president with CallisonRTKL in Miami, design director with Wilson Associates in Singapore, and managing director with Hirsch Bedner Associates in Dubai. Through these positions, he gained knowledge in everything from delivering business presentations to coordinating multifaceted projects with international developers.

Mr. Arteaga began his career in Mexico City at Legorreta Architects after earning his BArch from Ibero-American University. For six years, he designed internationally recognized buildings for the firm while satisfying a wide range of additional obligations, including preparing construction documents and specifications. He ultimately earned the firm’s senior designer title before moving to the United States to continue his career.
